Emerson PR6423/000-131 Sensor: Innovation in eddy current measurement technology

The Emerson PR6423/000-131 sensor is a non-contact eddy current displacement sensor designed for turbo-mechanical applications in critical equipment such as steam, gas, compressors, water turbines, and blowers. With its robust construction and precise measurement capabilities, the sensor can directly measure shaft vibration, eccentricity, thrust (axial displacement), differential expansion, valve position and air gap, providing a strong support for machine health monitoring.

Using non-contact measurement technology, direct contact with the measured surface is avoided, reducing wear and error.
With a static measurement range of ±1.0 mm (.04 in) and a dynamic measurement range of 0 to 500μm (0 to 20 mil), it is suitable for measurement requirements of 50 to 500μm (2 to 20 mil).
The sensitivity is 8 V/mm and the target is a conductive steel cylindrical shaft.
The design has a nominal clearance of 1.5 mm (.06 in), and the measurement error is within ±1%.
Operating temperatures range widely from -35 to +180°C (-31 to 356˚F) and up to +200˚C / 392˚F for short periods.
