Application:

The absolute vibration sensors PR 9266/ .. and PR 9268/ .. series are used to measure absolute mechanical vibration in the frequency range of 10…1000Hz and 4 … 1000 Hz. The maximum amplitude of measurement can reach 2mm or 3mm (peak-to-peak). They can provide voltage signals proportional to the vibration speed. The two series of sensors provide several basic models and are widely used in many fields of industrial measurement. Rugged structure allows installation in dangerous environment. It can be applied to various turbine machines, fans, compressors, gearboxes, water pumps, coal grinders, etc. Sensors PR 9268/60 and PR 9268/70 are especially suitable for high temperature environment. This sensor has three different sensitivities, depending on the type of measuring amplifier. The high output and low impedance of the measuring coil make the sensor have strong anti-interference. It can be directly connected with MMS 3000 and MMS 6000 steam turbine monitoring and protection systems produced by epro.

Function and principle:

The absolute vibration sensors PR9266 and PR9268 are composed of a seismic block and a measuring coil supported by a spring plate. The measuring element can move in the magnetic field of a circular permanent magnet. The natural frequency of the sensor is between 4-13Hz, depending on different sensor models. When the sensor vibrates, it will produce a voltage signal proportional to the vibration speed. PR9268/… series sensors can only have one measuring direction (vertical or horizontal). The PR 9266/ .. series sensor has a lifting coil, which can be used for both vertical and horizontal measurement.
