Install the switch on the control system panel using DIN rails for new installation. Connect copper cables and/or optical fibers according to the redundancy and requirements of the system. Connect the switch to the 28 V DC of the switchboard.

IS420UCSBH1A Configuration
Multiple inserts and removals are supported with the RJ-45 connector, which has an expected service life of 200 insert/remove cycles. Torsional pressure is applied to the connecting assembly along any shaft, as well as static tension caused by cable weight and cable dressing.

The installation
The switch housing can be DIN rail mounted or panel mounted (the switch is mounted to the rear wall of the panel via a bracket). DIN rail mounting system meets vibration and shock requirements. Both installation types allow easy access to user connections.

When a Level 1 switch receives a continuous stream of broadcast or multicast packets, it must send them out after fully receiving them. A single incoming stream should occupy enough memory to buffer one packet, or at least one packet per port.

Switch replacement
When an ESWA or ESWB is used to replace an unmanaged switch, use an existing mounting bracket, either a panel mount or a DIN rail mount. On this switch, there are seven screw holes for panel mounting.
