The IS420UCSCH1C is one of several controllers available for the Mark VIe Speedtronic system. Mark VIe is one of GE’s most advanced control systems for managing industrial turbine systems.

The IS420UCSCH1C controller is designed to provide highly reliable high-speed industrial control through its quad-core 1.2GHz processor. The device uses Mark VIe firmware and IONet interface to implement communication protocols over Ethernet or PROFINET. The controller has embedded field agent technology (EFA) to provide a secure connection for real-time data transmission.
The IS420UCSCH1C is a single-machine controller. It doesn’t have any fans or batteries. The device does not have any user-configurable jumper Settings. The front panel of the controller provides two USB ports and five other ports as well as multiple LED indicators. Other controllers provide extended I/O. The unit can be used in applications such as gas or steam turbines, wind turbines and combined cycle power plants.
The IS420UCSCH1C does not have a backplane connector. Instead, the unit does not manage application I/O, but the I/O network provides input data through a connection to the board. This allows application inputs to remain secure and independent if the controller must be powered off for a period of time (such as for repair or maintenance)
