The CPU board contains microprocessor, RAM, real-time clock, LED indicators, INIT button and CompactFlash interface.
There are 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) on the bottom board of the PM866 / PM866A controller for connecting to the control network, and 2 RJ45 serial ports (COM3, COM4). One of the serial ports (COM3) is RS-232C with modem control signals, and the other serial port (COM4) is an isolated port for connecting configuration tools. The controller supports CPU redundancy, higher availability (CPU, CEX-Bus, communication interface and S800 I/O).
Simple DIN rail attach/detach procedure using a unique slide and lock mechanism. All backplanes have a unique Ethernet address, providing each CPU with a hardware identification. This address can be found on the Ethernet address label on the TP830 chassis.
