REM610C55HCNN Motor Protection Relay

REM610 is a motor protection relay used for the protection, measurement and monitoring of large and medium sized asynchronous low voltage motors and small and medium asynchronous high voltage motors in the manufacturing and processing industries.

The REM610 is part of ABB Relion’s member product family and its 610 product family. The series includes feeders, motors and protective relays for general system voltage monitoring. The plug-in design facilitates the debugging of switchgear, and enables quick and safe insertion and removal of relay plug-ins.

REM610 protective relays can be used in a variety of applications in circuit breaker and contactor control motor drives. Because these relays are enhanced with RTD sensors or optional additional cards for thermistor elements, they can be used for direct temperature measurements for critical motor items such as bearings and windings. They are also used to protect cable feeders and distribution transformers, benefiting from thermal overload protection on top of phase overcurrent protection, ground fault protection, and phase unbalance protection.

The REU610 offers integrated protection with two stages of overvoltage protection, two stages of undervoltage protection and two stages of residual overvoltage protection. In addition, REU610 includes two mutually exclusive protection features, single stage negative phase sequence overvoltage protection or single stage positive phase sequence undervoltage protection.
REU610 supports a wide range of standard communication protocols, including IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus, Profibus, DNP3, SPA, and LON.
