UFC721BE101 3BHE021889R0101 The programmable logic controller’s 2 amp relay output module provides 16 normally open relay circuits to control the output load provided by the user. This output switch has a capacity of 2 amps per output. The output points are divided into four sets of four points. Each group has a common power output terminal. Relay outputs can control a wide range of user-supplied load equipment, such as: motor starters, solenoid valves and indicators. Power to the internal relay circuit is supplied by a +24 volt DC power supply to the bus on the backplane.
UFC721BE101 3BHE021889R0101 user must provide AC or DC power to operate the field equipment. There is no fuse on this module. Leds providing on/off status at each point are arranged horizontally in two rows of eight green leds in each row. The top lines are labeled A1 through 8 (points 1 through 8) and the bottom lines are labeled B1 through 8 (points 9 through 16). The hinged door has a plug-in between the inside and outside surfaces. There is circuit routing information inside the surface module (when the hinge door is closed), and circuit identification information can be recorded on the outer surface. The color code of the outer left edge plug-in is red, indicating the high voltage module. This module can be installed in any input/output slot on the 5 or 10 slot substrate in the Series 90-30 PLC system. When switching inductive loads, the contact life of the relay will approach the contact life of the resistive load if a suppressor circuit is used. Examples of typical suppression of AC and DC load circuits are shown below. The 1A, 200V diode shown in the DC load suppression circuit is the industry standard 1N4935.
