Technical Description 1747-L541：
The Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 is the SLC 5/04 processor, part of the SLC 500 family, which also includes the 1747-L541, L542, and L543 controllers. It is a high-performance processor with faster communication speeds and shorter program execution times. The SLC 5/04 comes with 16K, 32K or 64K words of memory and can control up to 4096 input and output points. For communications, the 1747-L541 has a built-in DH+ channel that supports extended messaging capabilities and high-speed communications. It also has an RS-232 channel for supporting DF1 radio modem, DH-485, ASCII and Modbus RTU communications. For programming, it includes advanced mathematical instructions and various additional instructions. It also supports remote I/O, DeviceNet pass-through, and indirect addressing.
1747-L541 The typical program scan time for each keyword is 0.9 ms and the typical I/O scan time is 0.225 ms. It requires a base plate current load of 1 amp at 5 volt DC and 200 mA at 24 volt DC. It has a 1 ms selectable time interrupt (STI) and a 0.5 ms discrete input interrupt (DII). For program and table storage, it uses 64 KB memory based on 1747-M13 flash memory. The SLC 5/04 includes a 3-bit key switch on the front panel to select Run, remote, or program modes. The 1747-L541 SLC 504 features running, FLT, battery, force, DH+, and RS-232 LED status indicators for troubleshooting and diagnosis. With a simple, economical design, the SLC 500 series processors have a proven history of installation in applications such as HVAC control, SCADA, and material handling.
Allen-Bradley 1747-L541 is an SLC 5/04 controller with integrated 16 KB user memory designed to handle up to 4096 inputs and outputs. The controller belongs to modular SLC 500 Programmable logic controller (PLC).
The 1747-L541 is ideal for mid-sized applications because the controller is capable of implementing distributed IO applications by using a communication adapter on the CPU rack and a communication scanner on the IO rack. The RS232 communication port can be configured for the DF1 and DH485 point-to-point topologies, while the DH+ communication supports long-distance and multipoint topologies.
Alternatively, the RS232 communication port can be used with the 1761-NET-AIC to allow a serial port to connect to a multipoint network. For RS232 ports and 57.6 kiloport, node address = 1, and for Data Superhighway Plus (DH+), the communication ports default to no handshake, 19.2 kiloport, CRC error check, duplicate packet, check on, and No parity.
The 1747-L541 controller requires an SLC 500 rack to mount and connect to the electronic backplane. It also requires system power to power the processor’s internal circuits through an electronic backplane.
This controller is UL listed in the US and Canada safety standards, meet the CE and C-Tick marks.
