The 1756-IF8H is an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix I/O module with eight differential input channels that can receive industry-standard 0 to 20mA and 4 to 20mA current signals, as well as +/-10VDC, 0 to 5VDC, 1 to 5VDC and 0 to 10VDC voltage signals. The module also adds compatibility with the High Speed Addressable Remote Sensor (HART) protocol with 16-21 bit resolution and backplane current requirements of 300mA@5.1VDC and 135mA@24VDC. Its total backplane power consumption is 4.77W, and heat dissipation varies depending on the configuration signal. In addition, the module is a single-width module that occupies a slot in the 1756 chassis and can be used as part of a local I/O or distributed I/O system.
