The Allen-Bradley 1756-L1M2 is a ControlLogix 5550 controller. It has 1MB of user-available memory but it has no non-volatile memory. It is capable of controlling local and remote /O on DeviceNet,ControlNet, and generic Remote I/O networks. It has an open case type rating with a weight of 0.35g or 12.5 oz. The controller has A set of Class A emissions. The average power consumption of 1756-L1M2 is 4.8W and the average heat dissipation is 16.4BTU/hr. The average backplane current is 1.05A at 5V DC and 0.02A at 24V DC.
The controller operates at temperatures ranging from O to 60 degrees Celsius, while its storage temperatures range from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. It also has a non-condensing relative humidity between 5% and 95%.

The programming cables compatible with the 1756-1M2 controller are the 1756-CP3 and 1747-CP3. When it needs to be replaced, the battery should only be 0.59g lithium 1756-BA1.
