Technical Description 1756-L55M24：
Allen-Bradley 1756-L55M24 is a processor module for the ControlLogi platform. The ControlLogix system provides processing, security, motion, discrete and drive controls and enhanced V/O in a compact package. The modular architecture enables efficient design and modification. The ControlLogix system consists of a case that houses the processor module (also known as the controller) and the /O module. There are many communication modules that can be installed in the system chassis to enable communication with other networks. The ControlLogix system is very flexible; Multiple controllers can be installed in a single chassis, and V/ 0Os can be installed in distributed locations and connected through I/O links.
The 1756-55M24 can be installed in any slot of the system chassis. In addition, the controller can be installed or removed with the chassis powered on. However, inserting or removing a module in a dangerous place is dangerous and could result in an explosion. Therefore, in hazardous locations, power to the system should be cut off before installing or removing the controller. The 1756-55M24 controller has 3.5MB of non-volatile user memory, so it can be used without a battery. It has an integrated RS-232 serial port for communication. Optional communication modules available include Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet,DH+, SynchLink, and Remote I/O.
1756-55M24 supports the following programming languages; Relay ladder, SFC, function block and structured text. The programming cables supported by the controller are 1756-CP3 and 1747-CP3 serial cables. The base plate current of the 1756-L55M24 is 1.25 amps at 5.1 volts DC and 0.014 amps at 24 volts DC. The power dissipation is 5.7W, while the heat dissipation is 19.4 BTU hours. The controller weighs 0.36 kg. The 1756-L55M24 is designed for use in environments with ambient temperatures ranging from 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and relative humidity ranging from 5 to 95%.
