1756-OF8H Allen-Bradley analog output module

Allen-Bradley 1756-OF8H is an analog output module for the ControlLogix controller platform. The module has eight (8) main voltage or current output channels that can be configured for 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA current output signals and +/-10VDC voltage output signals. 1756-OF8H has a module resolution of 15-16 bits in all signal ranges. Built-in digital-to-analog converter (DAC), R-ladder DAC, monotonic lossless code conversion method, data format in integer mode (left-aligned, 2 s complement), IEEE 32-bit floating point. This module is installed in the 1756 ControlLogix chassis and occupies only one slot. It can be used as a local IO module and a remote I/O module component.

For the end of the signal line, the module is equipped with a removable terminal board (RTB). This RTB can be replaced with 1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH with user-defined mechanical RTB keying. When using 1756-TBNH, the applicable conductor size is 0.33-2.1 mm2 (22-14 AWG) for a single wire connection and 0.33 for a double wire connection… 1.3 mm2 (22… 16 AWG). The 1756-TBSH supports single-wire connections only and is designed for 0.33… 1.3 mm2 (22… 16 AWG) wire size wire. The continuous isolation voltage rating of 1756-OF8H is 50V. Module isolation is limited to the output channels of the backplane. There is no separate isolation for each output channel. In addition, the module’s open circuit detection time is available for current configuration only if the maximum overvoltage protection is +/ -24 VDC.

Allen-Bradley’s 1756-OF8H ControlLogix Voltage/current Analog Output module is an analog output module with eight voltage or current outputs, each with a HART modem. It has an optional voltage/current signal range of -10.4336-10.4336V and 0-21.2916mA. The 1756-OF8H has an overall output rating of +/- 10V or 0-20mA, and a signal resolution of 15-16 bits across all ranges. It also has backplane current consumption of 230 mA @ 5.1VDC and 230 mA @ 24VDC for a total backplane power of 6.54W. It has a heat dissipation of 16.78 BTU/hr and a power consumption of 4.92 w. The isolation voltage of 1756-OF8H is 50V, and the basic insulation between the output channel and the backplane is tested at 1500V AC for 60s.
