1786-RPFM is an Allen-Bradley ControlNet attachment. The module is a panel mount/DIN rail mount device that is functionally equivalent to the ControlNet Modular Repeater medium distance fiber module. The module is used to convert Cox cable into fiber optic media with a maximum distance of 3,000 meters or 9,843 feet. Fiber optic links provide isolation between connecting nodes and improve immunity to noise and electrical interference. The fiber link of this module requires the use of 62.5/125 micron cable, OM1 multimode cable.
