Description
To set up the 1788-DNBO’s network address, the 1788-DNBO is equipped with two (2) switches. Valid node addresses are 0-63, which is the range of nodes supported by the DeviceNet network. As a general rule, the node address of the child card must be unique, and there should be no duplicate addresses in the network. In addition, setting the node address to 99 and restarting the module erases the daghtercard to the defined scan list. Therefore, you should only do this if you need to erase the scan list. The switch Settings are read during power-up to identify the set address and the expected operation of the child card.
