Allen-Bradley 1794-IE12 is a high density analog input module for the Flex I/O product family. The module is mainly used to connect analog devices such as transmitters, indicators, recorders, single loop and multi-loop controllers, and other devices.

The 1794-IE12 comes with twelve (12) analog input channels and can be configured for 0 to 20mA, 4 to 20mA, +/- 10VDC, and 0 to 10VDC input signal types. 1794-IE12 is compatible with input signal types such as 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 20 mA. The module’s nominal external DC supply current is 30 mah at 24 volt DC and 45 mah at 10 volt DC, and has a 60 mah certification. It also has a maximum input overload of 30 volts or 32 mA, either continuously or one channel at a time.

For current and voltage inputs, the module has a full scale absolute accuracy of 0.1% at 25 degrees Celsius. The accurate temperature drift of both voltage and current is 0.004% full scale/C. In general, the input step response of current and voltage inputs is 1.3 seconds, and in fast step, the input step response of current and voltage inputs is 0.09 seconds. The 1794-IE12 has a power consumption of 1.2 watts at 31.2 volts DC and a heat dissipation of 4.1 BTU/ hour at 31.2 volts DC. Note that there is no isolation between channels. The module has an operating vibration of 5 g, an operating shock of 30 g and a non-operating shock of 50g at 10 to 500 Hz. The operating temperature of the 1794-IE12 module is between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius and the storage temperature is between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius.
