The Allen-Bradley 1794-IRT 8 XT FLEX I/O module has some useful operational features such as support for long thermocouple wiring, support for grounded and ungrounded thermocouples, good common-mode suppression, and detection of overranges, underranges, and wire breaks. It has isolation between the user 24 volt DC voltage source and the user I/O as well as between the user side and the system side of the module. As long as the module is used with the control network, Ethernet /IP, and remote I/O communication network, the B Series module will be accepted by the terminal dock of the A Series module without triggering an “Electronic Key Mismatch warning”.

Description

The 1794-IRT8XT module was designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley in their FLEX I/O series as thermocouple, RTD, and millivolt input modules. The 1794-IRT8XT module is a new model in the Allen-Bradley FLEX I/O module family. It should not be used in industrial environments with corrosive air and large amounts of liquids because it does not have a protective conformal coating. The module has eight analog inputs. It can accept millivolt source input, thermocouple input, and 2 -, 3 -, and 4-wire RTD input.
