Communication module
The Ethernet-22-COMM-E Ethernet /IP adapter provides internal Ethernet /IP connectivity for PowerFlex 40 drives. The adapter allows the drive to be controlled, configured, and data collected over Ethernet /IP networks. You can also provide Web services and view pages using a standard Web browser. The adapter also supports “Multi-Drive,” a unique Allen-Bradley feature. Multi-Drive allows up to five PowerFlex component class drives to be connected to a single node over Ethernet/IP. Benefits include reduced hardware costs and a way to connect PowerFlex 4 drives to Ethernet /IP.

TCP/IP configuration (Monitor only)
Email notifications about failures, troubleshooting, and/or when the adapter takes its communication or idle failure action
Monitor device information, diagnostics, and event queues
Log in to DriveExplorer or DriveExecutive directly on the user’s PC to connect online via Ethernet

DeviceNet – With this optional DeviceNet communication module, PowerFlex 40 (instead of PowerFlex 4) can be integrated with the Allen-Bradley PLC architecture.

Networking – With these communication modules neatly installed within PowerFlex 70, PowerFlex 70 can be integrated with the PLC architecture.
