The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T12W22D9P is part of Allen-Bradley’s PanelView Plus 7 performance operator terminals. This electronic device is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) component that is used to implement real-time communication and data exchange between Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), 3rd part and other compatible devices.
The 2711P-T12W22A9P has a widescreen display with resolution of 1280 x 800 WXGA, 18-bit color graphics. Operator interaction is accomplished via the embedded analog resistive touchscreen interface with actuation rating of 1 million presses. This HMI device communicate with partner automation devices via the embedded dual ethernet communication ports that supports different network topologies such as linear, star and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies.
The 2711P-T12W22A9P supports flush mounting to an enclosure rated NEMA and UL Type 12, 13, 4X, also rated IP66 as Classified by UL. It supports horizontal and vertical orientations as the HMI display supports screen rotation however, this feature is not dynamic and must be defined prior to development of the HMI application.
This operator terminal has an operating temperature of 0…55 °C (32…131 °F); non-operating temperature of -25…+70 °C (-13…+158 °F); operating altitude of 2000 m (6562 ft) and relative humidity of 5…95% without condensation. It has an operating vibration and shock ratings of 2 g peak at 57…500 Hz and 15 g at 11 ms, respectively.

Additionally, this terminal supports linear or star network topologies and contains 2 highspeed USB ports, 1 Secure Digital card slot, and 1 audio port. Its rear LED’s indicate fault or error status to provide proper diagnostics, and it has an internal user memory of 512 MB RAM and 512 MB. This terminal can remotely access applications using version 1. Equipped with a 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution and 18-bit color graphics, this unit’s 12.1-inch backlit TFT touch display with a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:10 provides a crystal clear interface. Various touchscreen gestures are supported, including a long press, tap, drag, and double-tap. With a weight of 2.54 kilograms and measurements of 24.6 x 13.39 x 6.9 centimeters, this unit can be easily installed into the user’s existing system.
