The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 is a ControlLogix digital I/O module. As part of a ControlLogix system, this input module has 2 sets of 32 inputs available, each with 16 points. It mounts to the ControlLogix chassis by using the required removable junction box housing or RTB such as Allen-Bradley 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H. The module occupies one slot in the ControlLogix chassis and provides an open enclosure. The 1756-IB32 module operates from 10 to 31.2 Vdc with a nominal input voltage of 24 Vdc. It is a voltage class 12/24V DC sink with a current draw of 120mA at 5.1V and 2mA at 24V for a total backplane power rating of 0.66W. The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 ControlLogix Digital I/O Module also has a 250 mA maximum surge current rating that decays to less than 37% within 22 ms of inactivity. In the off state, it draws a maximum current of 2.27 mA and a maximum voltage of 5 volts. The input delay times are different for the off-to-on and on-to-off processes. There is a hardware delay of up to 380 microseconds plus a user-configurable filter time (0, 1 or 2 milliseconds) for the off-to-on process. Switching delay times include a hardware delay of up to 420 microseconds plus a user-configurable filter time (0, 1, 2, 9 or 18 milliseconds).
