It can be used for both static (displacement) measurement and dynamic (vibration) measurement. It is mainly used for vibration and displacement measurement of oil film bearing machinery, as well as key phase and speed measurement.
The 3300XL8mm system is our advanced eddy current sensor system, 100% compliant with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 Standard (4th Edition) for this type of sensor. All 3300 XL 8mm eddy current sensor systems meet specified performance standards, and the probe, extension cable, and preprocessor are interchangeable, requiring no separate matching assembly or bench calibration.
Every component of the 3300 XL 8mm sensor system is backward compatible and interchangeable with other 5mm and 8mm sensor system components in the non-XL 3300 series. For example, when there is not enough room for an 8mm probe, a 3300 5mm probe is usually used instead.
preprocessor
The 3300 XL preprocessor is a significant improvement over previous preprocessors. It can be mounted on either a compact rail or a traditional panel. If panel installation is used, the positions of the mounting holes are the same as those of the 3300 preservers installed in the previous four holes. Both forms of mounting substrate are electrically insulated and do not require a separate insulating board. The 3300 XL preprocessor is highly resistant to radio interference and will not be interfered by nearby radio signals even when installed in a fiberglass shield. The improved radiation resistance of RFI/EMI enables it to meet European electromagnetic compatibility standards without the need for special shielding conduits or metal protective cases, thus reducing installation costs and complexity.
The 3300 XL SpringLoc terminal tape can be fastened without special installation tools. As there is no need to tighten the screws, there will be no loosening, so the wire is stronger.
Approach probe and extension cable
The 3300 probe and extension cable is also a great improvement over the previous. TipLoc mold technology ensures a solid connection between the probe end and the main body. The probe cable is securely connected to the probe end using a CableLoc design that can withstand a pull of 330 N (75 lb). The 3300XL8mm probe and extension cable can also be ordered with FluidLoc cable, which prevents oil or other liquids from leaking along the inside of the cable to the outside of the machine.

The 3300 XL probe, extension cable, and preprocessor all come with corrosion-resistant ClickLoc gold-plated copper connectors. These joints are only finger tight (the joints automatically “lock”), and special mechanical locking devices prevent loose connections. Connectors do not require special tools for installation or removal. The 3300 XL 8mm probe and extension cable can either be installed with a connector protector at the time of ordering or installed on-site (if the cable must be laid in a restraint conduit). It is recommended to use a connector protector in all installations to protect the environment.
