The Bently Nevada 330980 short-range sensor is a significant improvement over the previous design. Its physical packaging allows you to use it in high-density DIN rail installations. You can also mount the sensor in a traditional panel mount configuration that shares the same 4-hole mount “footprint” as the older Proximitor sensor design. The mounting base of either option provides electrical isolation, eliminating the need for a separate isolation plate. The 3300 XL NSV(narrow side view)Proximitor sensor is highly resistant to RF interference, allowing you to mount it in a fiberglass housing that is not adversely affected by nearby RF signals. The improved RFI/EMI immunity of the 3300 XL NSV Proximitor sensor enables European CE certification without a special shielded conduit or metal casing, reducing installation costs and complexity.

The three parts of the system must have consistent electrical lengths. The electrical length of the preprocessor probe plus the electrical length of the extension cable must equal the electrical length of the preprocessor.
