Ideal adiabatic compression process
For the gas turbine cycle, the compression process is completed in the compressor, during which the state parameters of the working medium will change according to the law of adiabatic process (pvk= constant) : the pressure keeps rising, the specific volume gradually decreases, and the temperature increases with it. Because the flow rate of the working medium is relatively large and the heat dissipation to the outside world is very small, it is usually considered that there is no heat exchange with the outside world, so it is an adiabatic process, that is, there is no heat exchange between the working medium and the outside world. The state change of the working medium is realized by driving the compressor with partial turbine expansion work. In addition, under the ideal reversible condition, the entropy of the working nature in the compression process is constant, so the ideal adiabatic compression process is also called isentropic compression process. In the actual adiabatic compression process, due to the influence of friction eddy current and other factors, the internal energy of the working medium will increase (the temperature will increase more), which is equivalent to adding the same amount of heat from the outside. The process is irreversible and entropy always increases.
