Extreme Networks A4 is a highly reliable fast Ethernet edge switch that delivers scalable line-speed performance to support the bandwidth-intensive and latency requirements of today’s demanding applications. A4 also provides multi-layer packet sorting and priority queuing for differentiated services. In addition to a 17.6 Gbps switch capacity, the A4i offers up to 48 10/100 Ethernet ports as well as four gigabit Ethernet uplink ports. Leveraging the A4’s stacking power, up to eight A4s can be interconnected in a single stack to create a single virtual switch, providing 140.8 Gbps capacity and up to 384
10/100 Ethernet ports and 16 gigabit Ethernet uplink ports.
High availability design ensures reliable network operation Now uses Extreme Networks policy and basic routing PoE to support a variety of network equipment with lifetime warranty to protect the investment of 140.8Gbps capacity and 104.8 Mpps
A4 packs enterprise-class functionality into 10/100 stackable switches to ensure seamless connectivity and application performance. A4 supports 16,000 MAC addresses and is the choice for medium to large enterprises that need to support thousands of endpoints. Powerful Quality of service (QoS) capabilities provide powerful support for integrated multimedia networks, including voice over IP (VolP) and IP video, as well as all types of data-intensive applications. Combined with its non-blocking L2 switching architecture, A4’s intelligent queuing mechanism ensures that mission-critical applications get priority access to network resources. The A4 includes a 24-port model with a very quiet design that operates without fans in typical office environments, making it ideal for classrooms and meeting rooms. The highly scalable architecture and lifetime warranty ensure that the A4 network investment will maintain a safe, feature-rich and cost effective network well into the future.
