EPRO.PR6423 series electrodynamic sensor Germany EPROPR6423 (Philips) PR9268 series electrodynamic sensor is used to measure vibration; the working temperature can reach 200 ℃; easy to install; high sensitivity; strong shell suitable for industrial applications; waterproof protection level: IP 55 resp. IP 65; two frequency ranges: 10 Hz – 1000 Hz; 4 Hz – 1000 Hz; connection to safety barrier (zone 1) explosion-proof class EEx ib II B / II C; part of MMS 6000 and MMS 3000 rotating machinery monitoring and protection systems . Application: The vibration sensors PR9266/.. and PR 9268/.. series are used to measure mechanical vibrations in the frequency range 10…1000Hz and 4…1000Hz. Measure the maximum amplitude up to 2mm and some up to 3mm (peak-peak value). A voltage signal proportional to the vibration velocity can be provided. The two series of sensors are available in several basic models and are widely used in many fields of industrial measurement. Rugged construction allows installation in hazardous environments. It can be applied to various turbomachinery, fans, compressors, gearboxes, water pumps, coal grinders, etc. The sensors PR 9268/60 and PR 9268/70 are especially suitable for use in high temperature environments. This sensor is available in three different sensitivities, depending on the type of measuring amplifier. The high output and low impedance of the measuring coil make the sensor highly anti-interference. It can be directly connected with MMS 3000 and MMS 6000 steam turbine monitoring and protection systems produced by epro. Working principle: The vibration sensors PR9266 and PR9268 consist of a seismic block and a measuring coil supported by a leaf spring. The measuring cell is moved in the magnetic field of a circular *magnet. The natural frequency of the sensor is between 4-13Hz, depending on different sensor models. The sensor housing vibrates, producing a voltage signal proportional to the vibration velocity.
