Set the short circuit trip of the GE 469-P5-LO-A20-E relay must be set above the maximum locking rotor current, but also below the actual short circuit current of the relay fuse. The maximum locked-rotor current is 630% of full load current or 6.3x full load current. Keep in mind that if the locking rotor current is set to 7 x full load current, there will be a time delay which will cause tripping, and asymmetric start current and DC off Settings may occur. If setting to 7 x full load current limits starting capability, set S/C to a higher level to 11 x full load current (1.7 x 6.3 = 11.7) to overcome this condition
