The rotor inside the AC servo motor is a permanent magnet, and the U/V/W three-phase electric current controlled by the driver forms an electromagnetic field. The rotor rotates under the action of this magnetic field. At the same time, the encoder of the motor feeds back signals to the driver.
When the AC servo motor has no control voltage, there is only pulsating magnetic field produced by the excitation winding in the stator, and the rotor is stationary. When there is a control voltage, the stator will generate a rotating magnetic field, the rotor along the direction of the rotating magnetic field rotation, in the case of constant load, the motor speed with the size of the control voltage changes, when the phase of the control voltage is opposite, the servo motor will reverse.
