General Electric developed the DS200LDCCH1AGA card to operate as a drive control and local area network (LAN) communications board. This card is housed in the Mark V series of replacement drive boards compatible with GE brand DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 drives and exciters. When installed in a drive the board provides an array of drive and I/O control functions for the drive.
The DS200LDCCH1AGA communication card houses four microprocessors onboard. A LAN control processor (LCP) is available to accept five different bus types fed to the drive. A drive control processor (DCP) is also available to process analog and digital I/O conversions. The DCP is also capable of controlling and converting peripheral I/O devices such as encoders and timers. A motor control processor (MCP) is provided to process digital I/O sent to the drive. Should calculations require extra processing power the DCP cannot provide, the co-motor processor (CMP) will provide the additional power needed to complete these functions. The board is completed with an alphanumeric keyboard used for system programming and diagnostic purposes.

When shipped from AX Control the DS200LDCCH1AGA board will be wrapped in a protective, static-resistant plastic bag. Before removing the device from the shipping container, please review the installation parameters provided by the card’s manufacturer. Both the series manual and the board’s corresponding datasheet contain a complete wiring guide for this communications card. All members of the Mark V series were provided with technical support by General Electric.
The DS200LDCCH1AGA model has field adjustable parameters; one of these is EEPROM U9 which will be programmed to download the drive configuration values needed to properly operate the LDCC unit. The EEPROM U9 firmware can be transferred directly to the LDCC unit by moving the U9 from another drive control board.
