IC687BEM744 | GE | FIP bus controller

Description

The IC687BEM744 is a FIP bus controller designed for the IC967 series of PLCs manufactured by GE Fanuc. It is one of four compatible FIP bus controllers and is a half-slot module. Due to the module’s architecture with half-width panels, it is ideal for installation in integrated racks. This half-slot module is functionally identical to the full-slot FBC. The IC687BEM744 should be used with the 2.5MHz WorldFIP network. Like the other four FIP bus controllers, the IC687BEM744 allows TCP/IP communication in addition to common message compatibility and support. Note that FIP bus controllers, such as IC687BEM744, cannot be installed in a PLC expansion rack of a 90-70 PLC system. However, a single 90-70 PLC system can support up to four FIP bus controllers.
