The Series 90-30 IC693CMM302 communication module is a GCM+ device designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc, also known as the Enhanced Genius communication module. The IC693CMM302 Enhanced Genius Communication module enables global data communication between up to 32 devices. These devices are the Ag Series 90-30 PLCS and 31 other devices connected to the genius bus. The IC693CMM302 Enhanced Genius communication module is recommended to be installed on the CPU baseboard of the host PLC system for the most efficient operation, but can also be installed on the remote baseboard or extended baseboard of the same system. However, the enhanced Genius communication module cannot be installed in a PLC with a regular Genius communication module or a GCM.

The IC693CMM302 is a Genius communications module that belongs to Emerson automation’s Series 90-30 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCS), formerly manufactured by GE Fanuc automation. The module is a single slot width module that provides Genius protocol connectivity and can communicate with up to 31 devices and 62 devices per controller, as the 90-30 series system allows up to two (2) IC693cmM302pcs per controller. The IC693CMM302 allows each IC693CMM302 to send and receive 128 bytes of global data, and supports PLC registers such as global register (%G), discrete input (%I), discrete output (%Q), analog input (%AI), analog output (%AQ), and register memory (%R).
