The IC698PSA350 is a high capacity Power supply module from the PACSystem RX7i controller series. This module is used to deliver backplane power which is used by the modules to activate internal circuitry and become operable. This power supply module occupies a single slot of the chassis and designed to be installed only in the slot 0 of the RX7i rack. A 70 CFM forced air cooling fan is available below the system chassis which supplies cooling air to the power supply module. If cessation of air flow is detected, the OVER TEM LED indicator actuates. The IC698PSA350 power supply is available in series A and Series B version. Series A power supply is internally installed with 0.25” x 1.25” fuses while series B power supply has 5 x 20 m fuse. Installed fuse is 8A/250V fuses.

Application field

The IC698PSA350 power supply module is part of the RX7i series and it is manufactured by GE Fanuc. This module is able to send logic level signals to the module through the backplane. It has an output power rating of 350 Watts. The nominal rated voltage for operation is 120/240 Volts AC and 125 Volts DC. The power supply module runs with a frequency between 47 and 63 Hertz. The module has an operating temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius. The power supply module is provided with an airflow sensor that can easily detect fan failure or the stoppage of airflow around the drive. If either situation happens, the LED for excessive temperatures illuminates. The sensor can be enabled or disabled by using a jumper on the outer part of the module. During installation, the GE Fanuc IC698PSA350 power supply module should not have any power connections that are live and it should be properly grounded. For field wiring, the input terminal is located on the front side of the module that can connect with 120/240 Volts AC and 125 Volts DC input voltage sources. The terminal can connect with solid or stranded wire. The ground terminal or GND should be connected to the GND terminal of the rack with a 12 AWG wire. The ambient temperature of the installation area should not exceed 60 degrees Celsius for regular operation. The isolation rating for all the outputs is 1500 Volts DC.
