The IC754VBF08CTD is an operator interface manufactured by GE (General Electric). It is an all-in-one microcomputer based 8.4-inch (213 millimeters) TFT color touchscreen terminal. The IC754VBF08CTD is built as a part of QuickPanel View/Control series which is a proven solution for factory floor HMI applications and for control of industrial automation processes. The screen resolution of the interface is 800 x 480 pixels WVGA with a LED-backlit display. The IC754VBF08CTD is flexible, especially when it comes to communication options. The GE IC754VBF08CTD terminal has 64 MB of flash memory, 512 KB of SRAM (the power of retention is the life of the battery), 64 MB of DRAM, and 512 KB of ROM (bootloader). Everything on the panel is controlled by the XScale PXA255 processor (400 MHz). On the rear side of the device, users will find the power connector. Under the cover lid, there is also an easily accessible memory expansion slot, battery, expansion bus connector, and DIP switches. The Microsoft Windows CE 32-bit operating system is the base layer of the QuickPanel View/Control module.
