The IS200ACLEH1A is a GE Application Control Layer Module created for use in an EX2100 Excitation

System. The IS200 version of the ACLE rather than the IS215 is the base level board prior to the upgrade

to the higher level IS215. The IS200ACLEH1A, commonly known by ACLE, is a microprocessor based

master controller which was designed to execute multiple jobs simultaneously via communication networks

with ethernet. All software and configuration tasks for the IS200ACLEH1A require the use of the GE Control

System Toolbox for EX2100 Excitation System Control.

The IS200ACLEH1A has a wide faceplate that is printed with the manufacturer logo and the board number. Because of this wide faceplate, the module takes up two slots in the EX2100 Excitation Control System Rack. The board component of the IS200ACLEH1A is also marked with the board number and the GE logo. It has the code 6BA01 printed along one edge of the PCB. On-board components tend to be identified by reference designators found in GE Manuals such as GEI-100584A.

The IS200ACLEH1A has several board connectors, including a vertical male pin connector in the upper right-hand corner, a backplane connector placed on the back edge of the board, and a multi-pin ribbon cable connector. The ribbon connector links to an auxiliary board that populates the majority of the middle of the board. This auxiliary board has a number of components, including multiple pin connectors and integrated circuits. The primary board also has an IDE to SATA converter that holds a 128 MB card.

The faceplate of the ACLE module features easily identifiable status LEDs. These status LEDs include: OK (Watchdog Timer Enabled), Active (Microprocessor Accessing Memory), ENET (Ethernet Activity), and FLASH (Flash Memory Write Operation in Progress).
