Description

The IS200CABPG1A is also called a CABP board and serves as a replacement for the backplane of an Innovation Series card rack. This card typically is used as an interfacing unit. It features card slots that other boards can be plugged into. These boards can then interact and interface with external signals. Some of these external signals include those coming from diagnostic tools, the user interface keypad, panel meters, ISBus ports, or inputs coming from the power supply. The CABP is normally installed on an Innovation Series card rack assembly. The rack, which is sold separately, has installation points for the other PCBs being plugged into the CABP.

The IS200CABPG1A’s non-board connections are designed so they cannot accidentally be plugged into the wrong connector. The board connections on the CABP are designed similarly so that each card slot is individually keyed for specific boards. Knowing where each board goes on this PCB is vital because attempting to force a card into the wrong slot could end up damaging both the board and the card slot. There are nine connections that equal to five slots on the board. Slot 1 is assigned to a BAIA board. Slot 2 is assigned to a DSPX PCB. Slot 3 is assigned to either an ACL_ board or GBIA/PBIA modules. Slot 4 is assigned to a BIC_ card. Slot 5 is assigned to either a BPI_ or FOSA card. There are two stab-on connections labeled E2 and E1 that go to GND. The E4 and E3 stab-on connections are for CCOM. The J1-12 connections are for external interfaces while the J13-J21 connections are the card slots.
