Type IS220PAICH1A is described as a simulated I/O package that has been approved for use in hazardous and non-hazardous sites. At the front of the model, there are four indicators. There is also a port on the bottom called the I/O port. Several voltages are available for the PAIC battery pack. The lowest voltage for the PAIC battery pack is 27.4 volts DC.
Because IS220PAICH1A packaging is capable of being used in many establishments, there are multiple certifications, some of which are Hazardous establishments, Zone 1 II IIC Groups, Zone 1 II A, B, C, D and ATEX II IIC Groups, and non-hazardous establishments. The following certifications are used for UL E207685 and UL Demco 12 ATEX 1114875X, please consider the UL E207685 certification used in many places.
There are three models that can be used with the IS220PAICH1A device, they are the IS200STAIH1A and IS200STAIH2A and IS20TBAIH1C models. All of these models are called input/output terminal boards.
The typical location for a PAIC I/O package is one of the two available VME racks, which are 13 or 21 slot racks. Note that this device is typically used in systems with a three-mode redundant architecture. For TMR systems, there is a separate control module, I/O network, and main processor card.
The MVME2400 has dual PMC ports and supports the front panel and P2 I/O. PMC Recommendation for PCI I/O when using P2 I/O based PMCS VME64 extension connectors will be pin-compatible with MVME2400.
In addition to providing high-performance extended I/O, IEEE P1386.1 compliant PMC ports form the common architecture for future generations of products. Changing I/O requirements can be achieved by simply replacing the pmc to satisfy the need to reuse the same underlying platform, reducing ownership of long-term costs.
VME64 extension connector
To maximize the capabilities of the MVME2400, the 5-row 160-pin DIN connector replaces the 3-row 96-pin connector that the VME has historically used for P1 and P2. Two lines, Z and D, add what to the VME P1/J1 and P2/J2 connectors to provide additional I/O for the user. The VME64 expansion Connector is 100% backward compatible with existing VME card systems.
