IS220UCSAH1A is a processor/controller developed by General Electric Company for the Mark VI system. The Mark VI platform is designed to manage gas or steam turbines, released by GE as part of the Speedtronic range. It has an HMI (Human Machine Interface) with software designed to run heavy duty turbines such as the CIMPLICITY graphical interface.
The IS220UCSAH1A is a single boxed assembly with a front panel to allow communication connections, two screw mounts on the rear edge, and grill openings on three sides to allow air flow. The controller is designed for pedestal mounting in a cabinet. Up to three components can be mounted next to each other to form a compact layout that facilitates servicing a triple redundant system.
IS220UCSAH1A runs on QNX operating system. It has a Freescale 8349, 667 MHz processor. The board uses a power supply rated at 18-36 Vdc, 12 watts. The board can be used in temperatures from 0 to 65 degrees Celsius and does not require a fan for cooling even at the maximum rated temperature. This board is available for NFPA Class 1, Division 1. 2 applications.
The front panel of the IS220UCSAH1A has six female jack connectors, a USB port and multiple LED indicators. This includes LEDs labeled Link/Act on the left side of the front panel, and a row of indicators in the middle of the panel labeled Power, Boot, Online, Flash, DC, and Diag. A jack connector is used for Ethernet connectivity, enabling the board to communicate with other MKVI, MKVIe, or EX2100 field controllers, as well as maintenance and operator stations.
