The IS420UCPAH2A module is the second of the two Controller Programs with Integral I/Os as part of the Mark VIe series produced by General Electric. This controller is nearly the same as the previous UCPA controller save for the IS400WEXPH1A expansion I/O board which allows for additional I/O capabilities. The additional I/O capabilities on this controller are four additional DIOs, which totals eight; six additional AIs, also totaling eight, and two analog outputs. Same as the previous controller the input-output points on this controller also have the capability to be configured on a per-point basis.

After installation, the IS420UCPAH2A controller is mounted directly on a sheet metal panel and is contained within a single module. When operating properly the controller will run on a nominal power supply of twelve volts of direct current, within the range of nine to sixteen volts of direct current. The power input will be powered by a Class II protection level. When wiring the controller input terminals please ensure that they are no longer than ninety-eight feet in length.

The IS420UCPAH2A controller has several LEDs, DIO1-8, Pulse 1 and 2, and an attention LED. The DIO and Pulse LEDs will be solid yellow but the attention LED will be red and green with multiple flash codes. There are both green and red ATTN LED flash codes, some of which are as follows, a red four hertz LED at fifty percent indicating that the diagnostic alarm is active, a red one hertz LED at fifty percent which indicates that no firmware is available, and a green one/two hertz LED at fifty percent indicating that the component has completed power up.
