GE Fanuc/VMIC VMIVME-3116 is a 32-channel, high-resolution analog-to-digital converter (ADC) board with unique built-in test (BIT) and automatic calibration capabilities. The built-in test hardware is designed with onboard precision voltages that can be read for fault detection and isolation. A front panel fault LED is provided, which lights up automatically during power-on or system reset, and turns off upon successful completion of board level diagnosis. The BIT concept enables offline and real-time fault detection and isolation.
Each front panel input is monitored by an unbuffered self test multiplexer. Self-testing multiplexers provide a way to test all inputs and eliminate buffer amplifier misalignment in software.
