Pxi-8431/8 PXI Serial interface module

This PXI National Instruments -8431/8(part number :779537-01) is an RS-485/RS-422 interface. For this model, a data bit is an estimate of the bits of information currently in transit. When the PC sends the packet, the measure of the current information may not be the full 8 bits. The standard qualities of packets are 5, 7, and 8 bits. The Settings that users choose depend on the data they exchange. For example, standard ASCII has values from 0 to 127 (7 bits). Extended ASCII uses 0 to 255 (8 bits). If the information being exchanged is direct content (standard ASCII), then sending 7 bits of information per packet is sufficient for communication. Packet alludes to single-byte exchange, including start/stop bits, information bits, and equality. Because the current number of bits depends on the convention chosen, the term “grouping” is used to cover all events. Max baud rate of 3 Mb per second.
