GENE-9455 AAEON Single board computer

The GENE-9455 single-board computer is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor with a 533MHz front bus. A 200-pin SODIMM socket can fit up to 2GB of 400 or 533 MHz DDR2 memory. Two Intel 82574L Ethernet controllers connect to multiple gigabit networks for high bandwidth network communication. An IDE, two SATA II, and a Type II CompactFlash storage connector work well for storage needs. Mini PCI and AAEON’s ECX proprietary extension interface allow the addition of a variety of peripherals, including wireless communication or custom capabilities. The GENE-9455 SBC also offers standard features such as four USB 2.0 ports, four COM ports, and an 8-bit programmable digital I/O interface. This SBC flexibility provides users with distinct advantages when it comes to space and budget constraints

Intel Atom processors offer superior performance with a highly compact form force and low power consumption. The embedded motherboard leverages these features to address the mobility needs of the embedded market. With Intel’s successful integrated display technology, this small motherboard offers CRT and LCD support in either synchronous or dual-view mode, as well as the optional 4/5/8 wire touch screen controller, this single-board computer is capable of providing display support in either synchronous or dual-view mode. VGA and optional DVI-I input as well as LVDS are also supported. The NTSC & PAL standard S-Terminal, and the Composite Video Connector complete the setup, thus allowing the GenE-9455 to meet almost all display requirements. In addition to supporting audio features such as microphone input, CD input, line input and line output functions of the AC97 2.3 codec 2CH, this SBC is an ideal system for TV-wall controllers and machine automation (just to name a few potential applications).
