The two-axis module, also known as the motion controller, is a high performance unit designed to work in conjunction with the 90-30 series PLC. It is suitable for dealing with complex logic solving and communication functions in the system. The DSM302 is capable of controlling digital servos and, as of firmware version 1.40, servos with analog command input. An example is the GE Fanuc SL series servo system. On the board is a digital signal processor, which provides vector control of any GE Fanuc AC servo system. The machine also improves tracking accuracy with its velocity feedforward function and position error integrator
