IGCT 034STM4-00-200-RS is a current pulse drive with relatively large driving power, but its gate drive circuit is integrated in the IGCT. Externally, there are only gate drive power supply interface and optical fiber for transmitting trigger signal and feedback state, so the drive is small and simple. IGCT 034STM4-00-200-RS is a compound thyristor tube that can be directly connected in series, so it is not necessary to consider the pressure equalization measures too much. IGBT in series use should consider pressure equalization measures. IGCT 034STM4-00-200-RS has very low on-off and on-off losses. If driving power is excluded, IGCT loss is lower than IGBT for the same voltage class. For IGCT, 4.5kV/3kA is the more commonly used specification, and its capacity and voltage level are much larger than IGBT, which is more suitable for application in high-power FACTS device and high-power transmission device.
