Piezoelectric touch technology is between resistive and capacitive touch technology. The touch screen of the piezoelectric sensor supports multi-touch like the capacitive touch screen, and can support any object touch, unlike the capacitive screen only supports skin-like material touch. In this way, piezoelectric touch screens can have the multitouch touch of capacitive screens and resistive screens at the same time.
Infrared touch screen works by many pairs of infrared transmitting and receiving tubes, and the performance and life of infrared tubes are relatively reliable. Any object that blocks light can be used as a touch object. However, infrared touch screen uses nearly 100 pairs of sensors and shares peripheral circuits, which requires that the sensor not only has good performance itself, Nearly 100 pairs of infrared diodes are also required to have the same “photoresistance characteristics” and “junction capacitance”. In practical application, in case of any failure of a pair, it can be found in the power-on self-test process and then ignored, and replaced by the nearby infrared ray. Since each pair of infrared ray only “supervises” a narrow band of about 6mm, and the finger is usually about 15mm thick, users will not be aware of it. However, if there is no aging test of infrared emission tube in the production process and no good quality management system, nearly 100 pairs of sensors will soon be no longer a problem of one pair or two pairs of “left behind”, and the overall life will be difficult.
