The VibroSmart® VSN010 real-time Ethernet switch is specifically designed to operate with VibroSmart modules connected in redundant network topologies, such as redundant HSR (Seamless Redundancy for High Availability) loops. The VSN010 switch acts as a communication gateway between the VibroSmart module network and the standard Ethernet, which usually includes the host computer running the VibroSight software.
The VSN010 module is a “redundancy box” that enables cost-effective VibroSmart module redundancy networks (HSR ring topology) in high cost of failure applications. It does this by acting as a gateway (communication bridge) between the redundant VibroSmart network and the standard Ethernet network, that is, it allows (dual-connected nodes implementing the HSR protocol) DANH and SAN (single-connected nodes) to communicate.
