AN-X2-MOD S908 Gateway

AN-X2-MOD EtherNet/IP™ to Modicon™ S908 Gateway allows Ethernet/IP controllers such as Allen-Bradley® Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) and Schneider Electric M580 / M340 Controllers to monitor or control Modicon S908 I/ O equipment. The gateway allows a phased migration approach when upgrading S908 based Modicon 984, 584 or Quantum™ control systems. The gateway reduces engineering effort by automatically creating S908 scan lists and generating associated Studio/RSLogix 5000 tags. Monitor mode allows you to verify your transformation logic using real-time I/O data without affecting running legacy systems. This feature is especially useful when migrating an existing Modicon system to a new M580 / M340 controller, as the new PLC code can be run in parallel with the existing system to validate the new system. Once the new PAC is in service, the old I/O can be upgraded one module or one rack at a time when planned downtime is available. The gateway minimizes the risk of excessive downtime when upgrading legacy control systems.
