The front panel of the SST-PB3-REM module is equipped with a screw terminal for a 24 Volts DC power supply connection. It contains a support plate for fixing the module directly to a DIN rail mounting base. The RJ 45 connectors for the Ethernet link are also placed on the front panel of the module. To display various status updates, the module has 4 LED indicators. They include the PROFIBUS fault detector, system fault detector, Profibus state, and the PLC Run/Prog state LEDs. The SST-PB3-REM module may face IP duplication conditions. To avoid this problem, it is necessary to identify all the existing Ethernet devices in the network and assign IP addresses to the new device. The Profibus configuration tool can be used to program and set the IP address. The module is also equipped with rotary switches on the back of the module.
