The PC-L984-785 is a CPUS16 POINT 230VAC 984 manufactured by Schneider Electric.
PC-L984-785 features
Programmable controller. When used in an extra register configuration, pay special attention to deviations from other registers 984 product family members. This manual is not applicable to PC-L984-785pc-0984-785 replacement. Refer to the planning and installation of GM-0984-501785.
The functionality of the new PC-L984-785 when used as an additional register controller is similar to that of the 984-785, with status RAM sizes ranging from 12.5k to optionally 32k or 64k words, the controller provides more reference than any existing Modicon PLC. User logic areas have been added to expand the amount of programmable relay logic. In a PLC, it is easier to rearrange the memory to achieve a programmatically loadable dx. You can now program in alternative languages (such as Manufacturing State Language, or C).
Loadable DX can be loaded into the user logic area on page 0 or directly into the 160W320W480K byte execution buffer. Loadable DX files are in MS DOS relocation format, repositioned by the controller. The number of local (Drop 1) input and output points increased from 512 to 1024. In all functions, the maximum value of the constant increases from 9999 to 65535 except for the DX function that specifies the lower limit. The 785L supports the same set of user logic defined for other 984 controllers in the 984 System Manual GM-0984-SYS, and also has specific logic functions to handle enhanced memory capabilities. Logic programming can be implemented on any Modicon programming panel.
