The TRICONEX 8120E fault-tolerant control system is a state-of-the-art fault-tolerant controller

based on triple module redundancy (TMR) architecture. This system integrates a three-way isolated,

parallel control system and an independent diagnostic circuit to provide highly complete, error-free,

uninterrupted process control. Its “two out of three” voting ensures that the system will not fail due to

a single point of failure, thus providing a high degree of reliability and safety.

The TRICONEX 8120E fault-tolerant control system has received several certifications, such as TUV

AK6, NFPA72, FM, CSA, etc., demonstrating its suitability for critical control and safety protection

Each TCM module is equipped with four serial ports, two Ethernet ports, and a diagnostic port to meet

a variety of communication and diagnostic needs. Each Tricon system can support up to four communication

cards, which can be placed in two logical slots. The two Ethernet ports are NET1 and NET2. NET1

supports TCP/IP, TSAA, and TRICON controller point-to-point communication protocols and clock

synchronization protocols, while NET2 supports TCP/IP, TSAA, and Modbus TCP.
