WOODWARDPG-PL governors are widely used for speed control, driving pumps and compressors in all types of diesel, gas and steam turbines.
WOODWARDPGPL actuators applied to gas engines or steam turbines can replace PGPL, PGL, PGD type governors without changing the original PG type drive linkage. This facilitates the ESC retrofit.
The WOODWARD Current Pressure Converter (CPC) is designed to control steam valves, fuel valves and/or corresponding servo mechanisms by linearly and proportionally converting 4-20mA control signals to oil pressure outputs. the CPC can be used with many electronic control devices such as the WOODWARD MicroNet or 505 series controllers. It is suitable for use with pressure type servo systems or single acting power cylinders. z The CPC is also suitable for retrofit projects on older machines.
z Woodward TG-13 and TG-17 are mechanical-hydraulic differential governors for controlling turbines – the maximum rotation angle of the TG-13 and TG-17 governor output shaft is 40° when synchronous (equal speed) operation is not required. The recommended angular travel from no load to full load is 2/3 of the governor’s full travel. WOODWARD TG-13E and TG-17E electro-hydraulic actuators are self-contained, with separate oil sources, for steam turbines requiring no differential speed regulation, load distribution or other functions, and are compatible with all WOODWARD electronic controllers and accessories.
The WOODWARD Servo Position Controller (SPC) is a servo valve actuator that accepts DeviceNet or 4-20mA position command signals from the system controller and can position proportional or integral servo valves. the SPC is capable of meeting the control accuracy, responsiveness and redundancy requirements of a steam turbine or gas turbine fuel control valve.
The WoodwardProTech®203 overspeed protection system provides overspeed protection for steam turbines, gas turbines or other prime movers by monitoring signals from three independent magnetoresistive sensors (MPUs). In particular, the ProTech 203 can be used to replace mechanical overspeed protection devices that become unreliable at high speeds (>10,000 rpm). The sensor used to detect actual speed is typically a Woodward magnetoresistive speed sensor (MPU).
