The CPU is connected to the storage unit, input/output interface, communication interface, and expansion interface through address bus, data bus, and control bus. CPU is the core of PLC, it constantly collect input signals, execute user programs, refresh system output.
PLC memory includes system memory and user memory two kinds. The system memory is used to store the PLC system program, and the user memory is used to store the PLC user program. Nowadays PLC generally adopts E2PROM memory which can be electrically erased as system memory and user memory.

PLC function
1. Logic control of switching quantity
The open loop control of switching quantity is the most basic control function of PLC. PLC instruction system has a powerful logic operation ability, it is easy to realize timing, counting, sequence (step) and other logic control. 2. Digital quantity control
When the control system has rotary encoder and pulse servo device (such as stepper motor), it can realize the function of receiving and output high-speed pulse by PLC, and realize the digital quantity control. The more advanced PLC also specially developed the digital control module, which can realize the curve interpolation function. Recently, it has launched the new motion unit module, and can also provide the programming language of the digital quantity control technology. Make PLC realize digital quantity control more simple.
