Technical Description 1746-HSRV：

The Allen-Bradley 1746-HSRV is a servo control module. The module is a single-axis closed-loop controller compatible with a variety of SLC 500 processors. It is characterized by block execution that works independently of scan time. The module tracks encoder feedback up to 30O kHz for fast, precise and accurate control. The 1746-HSRV servo module consists of 3 inputs and 1 output for 24V DC power supply. It provides analog speed commands with limits up to 10V DC. 1746-HSRV works in configuration and command. It interfaces directly with the +5 or +15V encoder. The 1746-HSRV does not have any memory retention function in the power cycle. The backplane current is 300 mA at 5V and has three universal local fast inputs. The module has a common local fast output and the module update time is 2 ms. When 0″ orthogonal error, the maximum input frequency of the module is 300 kHz. The minimum and maximum power consumption are 1.5 watts. It provides an LED indicator to help you identify errors and perform troubleshooting. The module measures 5 “x2” x 6 “(13 cm x5 cm x 15 cm) and weighs approximately 15 ounces (0.43 kg).
The Allen-Bradley 1746-HSRV is an SLC 500 servo control module. The module uses 32-bit registers to control the absolute position. It supports a variety of command modes, such as absolute move, Incremental move, speed move, Monitor move, Hold move, unhold move, Mixed move, Emergency stop operation, reset operation, preset operation, clear fault, and Standby Reset move.
It is a single-socket socket module designed to be compatible with SLC 500 processors, specifically SLC 5/03, SLC 5/04, and SLC 5/05 processors. Up to twelve (12) 1746-HSRVs can be installed in a single frame to control multiple servomotors.
The 1746-HSRV is a level 3 module with up to 12 input words and 12 output words. In configuration mode, the module uses M files to access the module’s parameters and define operations. When installing into an SLC 500 rack, Allen-Bradley recommends using slot O or the smallest numbered slot. Basically, install the module as close to the processor as possible.
The base plate current consumption of the 1746-HSRV is 0.300 amps at 5 volts DC and 0.104 amps at 24 volts DC. In order to connect to the servo control motor system, the module should preferably be used with the 1746-HT terminal panel. The 1746-HC cable is used to connect the servo module to the terminal panel.
